Hospitality

Neurodiversity & Food Space

Good hospitality is about more than how a space looks, it is about how it feels, how it is experienced and how it makes people feel.

Inclusive design can help create a more predictable and flexible environment, offering clear circulation, intuitive wayfinding, varied seating options, quieter areas and opportunities to step away and regulate when needed.

RESTAURANT & CANTEEN DESIGN

Creating inclusive dining environments that offer choice, comfort and sensory balance.

Designing for neurodiversity means designing for different ways of experiencing space, and creating greater choice, comfort and inclusion for everyone.

What we do

User Journey & Sensory Experience

The dining experience begins before entering the canteen.

From arrival and wayfinding to queuing, food selection, payment, seating, eating, social interaction and departure, each stage of the journey can introduce different sensory and cognitive demands.

In a workplace canteen, factors such as crowding, background noise, strong food smells, lighting, visual stimulation, waiting times and the proximity of others can affect how comfortable and manageable the experience feels.
